Rosselkhoznadzor (‘Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance’) destroyed 7.7 tons of Ukrainian cherries, 19.5 tons of Ukrainian apples, and 19 tons of cherries from Poland, Russian news agency Tass reports.
The fruit banned for import to Russia was seized in a warehouse in Samara, taken to a landfill and squashed with a bulldozer. In June, 38 tons of Ukrainian strawberries were bulldozed in Kuban.
