Novaya Gazeta: Our Reporter Did not Shoot Ukrainian Military Positions
Novaya Gazeta rebuts the accusation by Anti-Terror Operation (ATO) press-office that its journalist disclosed the positions of Ukrainian Military.
According to Novaya Gazeta, reporter Yuliya Polukhina revealed the grave violation of Minsk agreements by the so-called ‘Donetsk people’s republic’ (‘DNR’).
"She informed the world that people still die in eastern Ukraine, while numerous politicians pretend that everything is under control. The main idea of our journalist’s report was that the war could come back at any time," Novaya Gazeta utters.
Media outlet also states that Polukhina had all necessary accreditation documents and always introduced herself properly. "Moreover, she interviewed Ukrainian military commander, who actually allowed her to work in Avdiivka. According to the rules, she was always accompanied by a press-officer of Ukrainian Armed Forces," Novaya Gazeta adds.
It also claims that its reporter did not shoot firing points or positions of Ukrainian military. Instead, she filmed a building where soldiers live, and she did it openly and upon their approval.
"All the ATO press office accusations are a lie," Novaya Gazeta summarizes.
