Supreme Administrative Court Annuls Dismissal of Judge Who Convicted Maidan Protesters
The Supreme Administrative Court declared the judge who prosecuted Maidan protesters not-guilty, and her dismissal illegal, the attorney of the Heavenly Hundred Roman Maselko posted on his Facebook page.
"Today, the Supreme Administrative Court annulled the decision of the High Council of Justice to dismiss judge of Holosiivskyi District Court in Kyiv L. Kalinichenko, as she had illegally put Maidan protesters in jail and revoked their driving licences," he reported.
"Such a development has nothing to do with the values of Maidan and the right to a fair trial," Maselko added.
According to him, on July 12, the High Council of Justice will review a number of decisions made earlier with regard to other infamous judges involved in illegal prosecution of Maidan protesters. These decisions will determine the pattern of treatment of ‘Maidan judges,’ and whether they will be dismissed.
L. Kalinichenko was fired by President Poroshenko on February 24 for oath breaking.
