Hlukhiv Mayor to Arrange Re-election of City Council
Michel Terestchenko, Mayor of the city of Hlukhiv, has to arrange re-election of Hlukhiv City Council, he reported in his Facebook page on July 7.
He committed to give a press conference on July 11 in Kyiv to explain why "he has to organize re-election of Hlukhiv City Council."
According to Terestchenko, the current situation in the city can become a national-level threat if immediate measures are not taken.
Michel Terestchenko, a descendant of a famous Ukrainian family of industrialists and patrons of art who lived in France most of his life was elected Mayor of Hlukhiv. Now he says he is trying hard to combat the illegal influence of ex-Mayor Andrii Derkach on life in the city. In particular, he accuses the ex-Mayor of involvement in corruption.
