Moskovskiy Avenue in Kyiv Renamed Bandera Avenue

Members of the Kyiv City Council renamed 5 streets, an alley and an avenue, changing the toponyms that were related to the communist heritage.

In particular, Moskovskiy Avenue became Bandera Avenue, Bauman street became Janusz Korczak street, Kutuzova Street became General Almaziv Street, Suvorov Street became Mykhailo Omelyanovych-Pavlenko Street, Kutuzov alley became Yevhen Hutsalo alley.

All the re-naming propositions went through the public discussion on a website of the Kyiv City Council and were approved by the specialized commission of the City Council.
