Lutsenko Dismisses Rivne Oblast Prosecutor Over Illegal Amber Mining

Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko dismissed Anatoliy Kovalchuk from the post of Rivne oblast prosecutor, he told Ukrayinsky Novyny.

Lutsenko did not specify when he signed the corresponding documents. Kovalchuk previously applied to resign.

Lutsenko reported earlier that five participants of a scheme on illegal mining and selling of amber were arrested, including Deputy Prosecutor of Rivne oblast Andriy Borovyk.
