Ukrainian army colonel Ivan Beziazykov has been released from captivity of militants. The Head of Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) reported this to President Poroshenko, the President’s press-secretary Svyatoslav Tsegolko informs.

"The militants detained Beziazykov since August 2014," Tsegolko twitted.

Iryna Gerashchenko, First Deputy Chairwoman of Ukrainian Parliament, provided details of his release: "We were looking for Ivan Beziazykov for a long time, as he was detained neither in pre-trial detention centre (SIZO) nor in a former SBU building. The militants did not disclose the place of this detention and rejected that he was in their custody. Finally, in the end of 2015 we found Beziazykov and started working hard to release him," she told on her Facebook page.
