SBU Detains Kharkiv Separatist
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) detained infamous Kharkiv journalist Andrii Borodavka who was hiding in Russia as he was suspected of attempted violation of the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, the SBU press office reports.
The SBU organized an operation to discredit Borodavka in front of his Russian managers and for him to be deported to Ukraine. He was detained in Boryspil airport. "He is actively cooperating with the investigation and provides evidence against major separatists and their Russian managers," the SBU informs.
The SBU pledged to finalize the pre-trial investigation and submit the case to the court within several days.
Borodavka made multiple statementы to support separatism in Donbas and foster the establishment of the so-called ‘Kharkiv People’s Republic.’ Speaking on Russian TV programs, he repeatedly labeled the Ukrainian government as ‘fascist’.
