Seaport Administration Chief Charged of Embezzlement

On July 29, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) charged the Chief of the state-run company Seaport Administration of Ukraine Andrii Amelin, the SBU press office reported.

"The officers identified that in February-March 2015 the company management proсured overpriced fuels and lubricants which resulted in ₴3.5 million ($140,000) loss to the Seaport Administration", the SBU informs.

Amelin was charged with the embezzlement, as the investigation in underway.

According to the Seaport Administration website, Amelin has been its Chief since April 2014.

On July 26, searches were carried out in State Aviation Service and Seaport Administration of Ukraine.
