Petition to Rename Suvorov Street to Sheremet Street Launched

A petition to rename Suvorov Street to Sheremet Street was filed at the website of the Kyiv City Council and published on its petitions website.

Pavel Sheremet was one of the leaders of Ukrayinska Pravda, which has its editorial office on Suvorov Street. #MediaHub coworking, where Pavel organized the School of Journalism of Ukrayinska Pravda, is also located there. The same building houses offices of Hromadske TV, Slidstvo Info, Centre.UA and the Anti-Corruption Action Centre.

"You could have seen Pavel at that address almost every day. This street houses offices of journalists and civic activists who will be honored to work on Pavel Sheremet Street. We all believe in his values and principles and will do all we can to protect freedom of the speech in Ukraine," — states the petition, which needs 10 000 votes collected during 90 days to be considered.
