Farewell Commemoration for Pavel Sheremet Held in Kyiv

The farewell ceremony for journalist Pavel Sherement, who was assassinated in Kyiv on July 20, is taking place in Ukrayinskyi Dim [En: Ukrainian House].

Editor-in-chief of Ukrayinska Pravda Sevğil Musayeva-Borovyk spoke at the beginning of the ceremony, calling Pavel’s murder "cruel" and saying that "we will not be afraid."

The flowers keep coming.

A presentation with Pavel’s photographs is running in the hall, and his favorite music is playing. The ceremony will continue until 2 pm.

Pavel Sheremet will be buried in Minsk on Saturday, July 23.
