Investigation to Request Access to Sheremet’s Correspondence from Google and Facebook
Law enforcement will ask Google and Facebook to provide access to the correspondence of journalist Pavel Sheremet who was assassinated in Kyiv on July 20, MP Anton Herashchenko said, Radio Svoboda reports.
Herashchenko said that the investigation has videos from CCTV cameras from the neighborhood where Sheremet lived and his route. Phone traffic is also being analyzed, and the family and colleagues of the journalist are being interviewed.
"This is a large-scale, painstaking job, but I hope that both those who ordered and perpetrated the murder will bear responsibility," he said.
On Thursday, it was reported that the investigation thinks that the attack was aimed at Pavel Sheremet, not founding editor of Ukrayinska Pravda Olena Prytula who owned the car.
