Tandyt: Already Six Lines of Enquiry into Sheremet Murder
The investigation already has six lines of enquiry into the murder of journalist Pavel Sheremet, Advisor to the Head of the SBU Yuriy Tandyt said on 112 TV channel on the night of Wednesday, July 20.
"We already have six, and I can name only the preliminary four," Tandyt said. As was mentioned earlier, the four preliminary lines of enquiry are professional activities, hostile personal relations, the ‘Russian trace,’ and an attempted murder of Olena Prytula, founding editor of Ukrayinska Pravda, who owned the car that was attacked killing Sheremet.
Commenting on the ‘Russian trace’ version, Tandyt said: "One of the lines of enquiry that the investigation is currently working on is the attempt to destabilize the situation inside our country through this murder. Unfortunately, we expect that not only this murder, but also other spectacles will be staged to try to show that Ukraine has no authority, that law enforcement does not control the situation."
Famous journalist Pavel Sheremet died in a car blast on Wednesday morning, July 20. According to preliminary information, the blast was caused by the detonation of an improvised shell-less explosive device, which was likely guided remotely.
The attack has been classified as "premeditated murder carried out with a method that endangers the lives of many people." The US Federal Bureau of Investigation agreed to President Poroshenko’s proposal to join the investigation to ensure transparency.
