Forbes Journalist Stabbed in Kyiv

Maria Rydvan, a journalist of Forbes Ukraine, was attacked by an unknown man in a park in Kyiv, she reported on her Facebook page on July 20. She said that she was stabbed three times, after which she was treated in a hospital emergency room, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

"An unknown man approached me and stabbed three times… It's all very strange," Rydvan wrote.

According to her, she suffered serious injury of her arm,  while her cheek was scratched. "It is not clear how much time it will take the arm to heal," Rydvan added.

The police were called by doctors who provided care to Rydvan. They opened a criminal proceeding under Article 125 of the Criminal Code (intentional light bodily injury). The investigation is ongoing.
