Head of Ukrainian Railways Power Supply Department Kidnapped
The Head of Ukrainian Railways Power Supply Department Valeriy Liudmyrskyi was kidnapped by unidentified individuals, Ukrainian Railways’ Head of Public Relations Daniel Wachowski reported on Facebook.
The kidnappers attacked Liudmyrskyi at about 10 pm on July 18 when he was walking his dog. They shot the dog. The kidnapping might be related to his professional activities.
"Power supply for Ukrainian Railways involved multi-million hryvnia contracts, and often companies with connections in the criminal world are interested in them."
The information about the kidnapping has been confirmed by the Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelyan. Plan ‘Interception’ is currently in action in the capital. A group of detectives is working on the case.
