Aircraft Manufacturer Antonov to Buy Canadian Electronics
Aircraft manufacturing company Antonov signed a deal with Canadian Esterline CMC Electronics during the airshow in Farnborough, UK, the BBC reports.
Minister of International Trade of Canada Chrystia Freeland said that signing this deal was a good opportunity to combine Canadian technology and the "wonderful" Antonov planes. She said the Canadian government was ready to assist with solving any possible issues to support successful cooperation between the companies.
The president of Antonov Oleksandr Kotsiuba said that the equipment of the Canadian company best corresponds to the needs of the manufacturer and is expected to give Antonov planes additional leverage in the international market. He added that Antonov has another Canadian partner, Pratt & Whitney Canada.
During the airshow in Farnborough, Antonov presented its new multi-purpose cargo plane, the AN-178.
