Poroshenko Offers Post of Deputy Health Minister to Volunteer

President Poroshenko offered the post of Deputy Health Minister to a famous doctor and volunteer Ulyana Suprun, the President’s press secretary Svyatoslav Tsegolko tweeted. Suprun’s response is pending.

Ulyana Suprun is an American of Ukrainian descent. She and her husband Marko Suprun moved to Ukraine during the Revolution of Dignity. She is a professional doctor. In May 2014, the couple set up the organization ‘Zakhyst Patriotiv’ [Ukr.: Protection of Patriots] to provide adequate medical support to Ukrainian soldiers.

This post became vacant after the Government dismissed former Deputy Minister Roman Vasylyshyn following his arrest upon accusation of receiving bribes.
