Border Guards Arrested the Militant with Russian Citizenship

Kramatorsk unit of the border guards arrested a DNR militant who has Russian citizenship at Marinka checkpoint on July 11, press service of the State Border Service reports.

The man was wearing civil clothes and came from the territories that are not government controlled. The Russian citizen was part of in ‘Vostok’ militant battalion and lived in Donetsk. He had a conflict with the so-called ‘DNR police’ in which he used his weapon, so he decided to escape and surrender to Ukrainian law enforcement.

The arrested man was handed to the National Police, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has been informed about him.

On July 11, The General Staff reported that Ukrainian Army repelled the attack of a sabotage group of militants, arresting the wounded militant fighters. One of them, also a Russian citizen, died from heavy wounds.
