Experts Named the Worst “Enemies of Ukrainian Media”

Independent Ukrainian experts have revealed the names of the biggest "enemies of Ukrainian media", including Kremlin-backed ‘prosecutor’ Natalia Poklonskaya, ex-Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin and MP Anton Herashchenko, during a press-conference on June 6, Ukrinform [ed.: the text of this hyperlink is in the Ukrainian language] reports.

The Institute of Mass Information (IMI) and the Independent Media Trade Union [ed.: prominent Ukrainian media NGOs] annually engage 40 independent experts to rate people suggested by the journalist community.

"This year, the top three enemies of the media are Natalia Poklonskaya (171 points), Viktor Shokin (166) and Anton Herashchenko (157)," Oksana Romaniuk, IMI Executive Director, informs. The next worst enemies are media oligarchs – Rinat Akhmetov, Dmytro Firtash, Serhii Lyovochkin, Valerii Horoshkovskyi, Ihor Kolomoyskyi and Serhii Kurchenko.
