The congress of the new political force that will be created based on Democratic Alliance will be held on July 9, Petro Poroshenko Bloc MP Mustafa Nayyem announced on Facebook [ed.: this Facebook post is in the Russian language].

He said that all the issues related to the rebranding will be settled during the congress. The congress will set the date for the public presentation of the party’s ideology and program objectives. Nayyem said that currently the framework document of the party is the previously published manifesto "Reforms Must Be Real."

He also addressed other like-minded politicians who are working on launching new projects, saying that their disagreements "are rather about the methods, but not the objectives." Nayyem voiced hopes that the new generation of politicians that he represents will be able to break the cycle of mutual destruction together, and said their team remained open to any negotiations and cooperation, as well as development of common approaches.

Two former Deputy Prosecutors General Vitaliy Kasko and Davit Sakvarelidze, MPs Viktor Chumak (unaffiliated) and Nataliya Novak (BPP) announced earlier they were creating another new political party "from scratch."
