Klimkin: 16 Ukrainians Are Being Detained in Crimea

Russia is holding 12 Ukrainian political prisoners, and 16 more are being detained in the annexed Crimea, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said on Friday, June 17, during a press conference in Kyiv, "Krym.Realii" reports [ed.: the text of this hyperlink is in the Ukrainian language]. He added that many more servicemen were being detained in Donbas by pro-Russian militants.
Ukraine is working hard to release Ukrainian political prisoners. On June, 14, two of them – Hennadii Afanasiev and Yurii Soloshenko – returned to Ukraine.
