One thousand days of full-scale war: Armed Forces of Ukraine's appeal

For a thousand days, we have fought against an aggressor intent on erasing us. For a thousand days, we have defended our European home. We are fighting for our families, friends, colleagues and neighbours. For Kyiv and Kharkiv, Lviv and Odesa, Mariupol and Chernihiv, Simferopol and Luhansk, Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia. Above all, we are fighting for the future of our children.

The Ukrainian army will never betray your trust because it is the people’s army. Each of us has relatives or friends serving in its ranks. Our pain is shared across the country. We are united by one heart and one soul. Every victory and every loss, every joy and every anxiety belong to us all. Let it be known to everyone reading this: Ukraine's defence forces are stronger than ever, united by the goal of destroying the invaders. A thousand days of resilience have proven this once again.

We have won the battles for Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Mykolaiv and Odesa. We launched a brilliant counteroffensive in Kharkiv and an equally successful one in Kherson. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have brought the war to Russian soil. They turned the impossible into reality – achieving what no one thought could be done.

Brothers and sisters in arms, today each of us must declare, "I am here, I am continuing the fight, I am supporting the army and, despite everything, I am moving forward, striving for victory."

The Russo-Ukrainian war is not a sprint but a marathon. We have endured the first thousand days of this large-scale invasion with unwavering determination. Behind us lie countless superhuman trials.

But victory belongs to those who endure one day longer than the enemy. So, now is the time to act together once more, just as we did a thousand days ago, just as we did ten years ago when the war began.

Support Ukraine’s defence forces, where your loved ones, friends and colleagues are serving. Support the army in any way you can. Whether you are in Ukraine or abroad, do everything within your power to help us walk this path together. The foundation of our victory is unity in the fight.

We will take revenge for every fallen hero, innocent child and destroyed home. 

Together, we will seize this historic opportunity to bury the Russian threat for generations to come. Together, we will bring our families the long-awaited peace. Together, we will overcome any challenge and fulfil the dream of generations for freedom and independence for our homeland.
