The Main Investigative Department of the Office of the Prosecutor General launched an investigation against Yevhen Deydey, an MP from Narodnyi Front [En.: People’s Front] and included it to the registry of the pretrial investigations. The investigation is linked to threats against the Deputy Specialized Anti-corruption Prosecutor Volodymyr Kryvenko and reported obstruction of justice by the MP.

The investigation of these criminal proceedings was delegated to the Kyiv City Prosecutor. The evidence gathering and the necessary procedural steps are now being performed. If the investigation confirms threats, Deydey is facing three years in prison or two years of community service and a fine.

On July 17 Solomyanka District Court of Kyiv detained the First Deputy Chair of Naftogaz Serhiy Pereloma until September 9, with an ₴80 million bail option.
